What's going on my 901 fam?
This page/site is the genesis of a campaign launch.
For the past fewyears, the public perception of our city has been tainted & flawed for various reasons.
Some of it is deserving and some of it is purely opinion and perception from those who are on the outside looking in.
WHy I am starting this
I am simply a member of this community. I have been here for 40 years. I graduated high school here, graduated college here, got married here, raised my children here and I am a diehard Memphis Grizzlies and Memphis Tigers Fan. I also believe in the power of unity and positive words and the impact it can make on a community.
Since the departure of Desmond Bane, there's been lots of dialog over the perception of our city. Regardless of whether we believe it or accept it or not, that perception needs to change.
It shouldn't have been taken lightly that our superstar, Ja Morant, who is NOT from here, and who has been
traditionally judged for speaking his mind and from his heart, stood up for this city. "And I'm gon be in dat 901" is what he said. He could've easily let that roll.
Now, if you are from here and you care about your city, that should have made you feel PROUD!
It has been said by many of the sports analysts that the success of the Memphis Grizzlies relies on the health and availability of our superstar to play 70+ games in the next season.
I don't know if that is true or not.
But I want to use it as a catalyst for change in our city.
As a result, I want to use this page for 3 purposes

To launch a campaign "JA for 70+" strictly to let our superstar know that we SEE & FEEL him. The 901 is behind him and we wish him the very best health, safety and success for this upcoming season.

To create a platform for prayer. I believe in the POWER of prayer and how it can shift atmospheres, mindsets and perception if we "who believe" collectively as a city are praying for our city.
"The prayers of the righteous avails much"

To create a forum for positivity, affirmations & confirmations not just for Ja but the entire team as well as anyone that represents our city.
"Thru the blessing of the upright, a city is exalted"
FYI - There will be NO negativity posted or tolerated here!
Finally, fam, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything isexcellent or praiseworthy-think about such things. Speak them as well!
